No identity

no identity

The concept comes from the advertising spaces located in all cities, where layers of advertising sheets are placed one above the other. Overlapped layers that often confuse the information. This project wants to tell something about Erasmus friends I met during my semester abroad. I made a close-up picture of 6 people and I asked them to give me 5 things that describe something about them (like a page of a book/magazine/newspaper, one receipt from shopping, one ticket from a recent travel, their ID card, their favorite song’s printed lyrics). Therefore the idea was to paste all these things I collected behind the close-up photo. By trimming the image in the spaces of the hands, eyes and mouth I wanted to “remove their identity” but still telling something about them, as the personal objects pasted behind will become visible into the holes.
